Dahanu-Palghar, May 2025 — In a proud and inspiring moment for the Institute of Indian Artss (IOIA) students of the IOIA Institute of Classical Dance have achieved outstanding success in the SSC Board Examinations, receiving up to 15 grace marks under the cultural quota. These additional marks, awarded in recognition of their excellence in Bharatanatyam, have played a vital role in boosting their academic scores.

The success story is a direct result of years of dedication, disciplined training, and the untiring efforts of their mentors — Pragnya Ma’am and Tej Sir, under whose guidance the students have not only mastered the intricacies of Bharatanatyam but have also excelled on national stages.

    Among the top achievers:

    • *Yachna Shah, who secured an exceptional **96.60%, stood **2nd in HMP School, Dahanu, and is a proud *National 1st Prize Winner in classical dance competitions.
    • Netra Hadal
National 1st prize winner scored a commendable 89.60%, demonstrating a strong balance between academics and the arts.
    • Aditi Mishra achieved 85.20%, showcasing how classical dance can complement academic performance.
    • *Pranali Hankare, a **National 3rd Prize Winner, attained *81.80%, exemplifying how cultural excellence leads to academic success.

All these students are certified Bharatanatyam performers with a deep commitment to Indian classical traditions. Their SSC achievements not only reflect academic excellence but also the cultural strength nurtured at IOIA.

“Their hard work, perseverance, and passion for dance have borne fruit. We are extremely proud of our students who have shown that classical arts are not a distraction but a strength,” said Pragnya Ma’am, one of the chief mentors at IOIA.

This success highlights the powerful impact of India’s cultural quota system, which rightfully recognizes artistic merit alongside academics. IOIA continues to be a beacon for aspiring dancers, proving that classical dance is not only a soulful expression but also a pathway to academic and personal achievement.
